In my desire to capture the charm of vintage barns I came across this vacant farm house off to one side of one of the barns. I always feel a sense of sadness, regret even. Wondering whose lives were started here, whose ended..a peek in the window suggested it had been abandoned long ago. Rags that were once curtains cling to the kitchen windows, their color long faded..an empty shell slowly being reclaimed by nature.

I could spend every waking hour just clicking away whilst they are oblivious to my enthusiasm for their seemingly mundane excursions...but every now and then I believe they know that they are being admired and they grant me a glimpse of something really special. These are the moments that steal my breath away... I have branched out to other subjects but horses will always be my first, best destiny.
