Description
Afternoon tea with Lily and Tije the Friesian stallion. I was crazy about horses growing up, I would sneak in to the neighbors pasture just to be close to them! Then finally my Mom got me my very own horse who became my most cherished companion. Many times the folks who help with the shoot are not mentioned but I want to add a few words by my dear friend Lynn Smith who was amazing on this particular piece. " I was so happy to be a part of. At some point a few months ago, Fran Scott had asked me if I had a small children's size table as she was contemplating a photo session with her great niece. I told her she was welcome to borrow this little square antique table whenever she was ready for the shoot.
Early one beautiful, sunny Sunday morning, Fran called me asking for the table offering to drive to pick it up. When she told me some of her ideas, I told her I would load up my car and come to her. I then became "prop master" gathering the table, tablecloths, my children's tea set, hats, and some of my dresses that my Mother kept from my youth that are stored in my guest room closet.
As you can see, there is a third guest at this particular tea party . . . my very first little dollie. She is 56 years old . . . a gift from my Grandmother Almony when I was born. The little chairs are from my home church Sunday School classes at First United Methodist Church in Huntingdon, PA. When the church was being renovated years ago, my Mother bought five of the chairs from my youthful days at First Church which I eventually had refinished.
Thank you, Fran Scott . . . I love this finished production of our photo shoot that warm spring day a few weeks ago. Thank you for making it perfection!!! Another memory made with you, dear friend. You are so multi-talented."
