Hey Amy! Yes they are known by different names, The Gyspy Vanner isn't really a breed, its the name of a registry but they did try to change the name of the horse at one point. They are originally known as "Traditional Cobs", Gypsy horses, named after the traditional Romany families who developed them. They have qutie the Shire influence. I am lucky enough to have one of these magnificent creatures. If you have seen the Valentino on my site, he is my stallion. :-) Thanks for the compliments, I can't take the credit cause I think they do all the work! LOL
