Description
This is the talented gentleman who trained the Friesian horses to perform all the neat tricks that you see demonstrated in a lot of my work. I am thrilled to tell you that he is only 2 points from qualifying for the Pam American Games! My very best wishes to him and Ster Friesian Stallion, Ivan Sport!

Tremendous talent in this young stallion. I can't think of anyone better suited to take him to his full potential than Julio Mendozza. I will pass on the well wishes from you Joy, many thanks!!

Thank you so much Jean!! Thanks Lois, This movement is call Piaffe. The airs above ground are a little more complicated. There are 4 movements to it, The Lavade, Courbette, Mezair, and Capriole. The lipizzanners were taught these movements for battle. The 2 most famous are the Courbette and Capriole. :-) I sent you a video so you can see what they look like. :-) Pretty awesome!

Oh Fran!!!!!! OH FRAN!!!!!!!!! Years and years ago I read a book by Mary Stewart called "Airs Above the Group" ... a fun mystery/romance ... that introduced little me to the wonders of the Lipizzan stallions. Now, having only READ it ... and never seen it ... to me, what this sweet Friesian is doing looks like "airs above the ground"!!!!!! What a glorious and timely capture!!!! Very best of luck to your friend ... sounds like exciting and fun adventures await!!!!!!
